In July 2005 I will be participating in the Badwater Ultramarathon (www.badwaterultra.com). This race goes 135 miles from Badwater in Death Valley National Park (280 ft. below sea level, the lowest point in the U.S.A.) to Whitney Portal at 8,260 ft., the trail head to Mt. Whitney. I will then continue on to the summit of Mt. Whitney at 14,495 ft. , the highest point in the continental U.S.A. From there I will continue on even further, traversing the John Muir Trail 215 miles to Yosemite Valley in Yosemite National Park. Once there I will run a few more miles to Bridalviel Falls where I will turn around and return all the way back along the same trail to Badwater again. Thus I will complete 700 miles.
